Dear Friends and Family,

K______ was baptized Saturday and confirmed on Easter Sunday so that was an awesome experience! That was the happiest I have ever seen her, so that made me happy.

K_______ made an interesting comment this Sunday in our gospel principles class. She said that after she was baptized, she saw people at the baptism had light around them and the people had different amounts of light around them. When she got home, she saw that people around her didn't have this light and it scared her. She wanted to have that light that the members of the ward possessed. This reminds me of a scripture that I'm sure everyone knows in Matthew 5:14-16: "Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." All of us have the light of Christ in us. D&C 93:28 says, "He that keepeth his commandments receiveth truth and light, until he is glorified in truth and knoweth all things." As we keep the commandments can have that light because Christ is the light. "Therefore, hold up your light that it may shine unto the world. Behold I am the light which ye shall hold up—that which ye have seen me do." (3 Nephi 18:24) If we hold up the light or share the good news of the gospel, we will grow in the light until the perfect day. I love you all and have a great week!

Love,
